Airport – Negombo- Kithulgala – Belholoya – Negombo – airport

Sri Lanka is located in the Indian Ocean about 31 kms off the southern coast of India and is separated from the Indian subcontinent by the Gulf of Manner and the Palk Strait. It is well known for its marvelous mountains, lush green forests, exciting wildlife, wonderful beaches, spectacular cities and rich cultural heritage.


This trip is designed to includes educational, meaningful and fun activities for the participants while focuses

to enhance communication and social skills;  to instill compassionate behavior and social responsibility through teaching participants how to positively contribute and volunteer in local communities; to enrich intellectually and broaden horizons;  and provide the participants  the opportunity to experience some exciting adventure activities.

Our operation:

All Rahhalah’s ground handlers and guides are locally employed ensuring more authentic experience for travelers, as well as sensitivity to local customs and cultures.

Our staff is highly experienced and has extensive knowledge and training in first aid; leadership and communication.


We run a low impact operation and we leave no traces behind, contributing to the efforts of protection of the local land, its people and culture.

All our local guides and staff are properly employed and adequately equipped. In addition we emphasize on making extensive use of local products and enhance maximum economic benefits to the local communities.

As you all know 1% of our revenue go back to a local cause and Rahhalah directly takes care of that. This is our pay back promise.


Day 1: 24th Nov 17 Arrival and Transfer to Negombo ( D)

Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our representative and

transfer to Negombo.

NEGOMBO town is a historically interesting place strongly influenced by the Catholic Church. The narrow

strip of land between the lagoon & the sea and the many canals make for a good exploring.

The Dutch captured the town from the Portuguese in 1640, lost it again in the same year, and then

captured it again in 1644. The British then took it from them in 1796 without a struggle. Negombo was one

of the most important sources of cinnamon during the Dutch era, and there are still reminders of the

European days.

Dinner & Overnight stay at Paradise Holiday village (Standard Rooms )

Day 2: 25th Nov 17 Negombo- Kitulgala ( 100 km- approx 3 hrs) ( B, L ,D)

After breakfast, transfer to Kitulgala

Check in to the hotel for lunch.

Do White Water Rafting at Kitulgala ( starting time 2.30p.m)

This thrilling adventure on the white water sections of the Kelani River is suitable for amateurs as well as

professionals alike. During the river run you will experience the thrill of grade 2 to 3+ shooting rapids and the

euphoria of making it through. The river’s clear water is born in the heart of the peak wilderness reserve and

tumbles through a rocky gorge just above Kithulgala. The rafting location had a bout of fame, when it was chosen as a prime location in the filming of, David Lean’s 1957 award winning film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai.’ Whether you are 6 yrs or 75 yrs, our rafting rides which are run by professionally trained and experienced guides are safe & fun! A briefing is given prior to the river run with instructions on paddling techniques and “man over board” procedures.

Dinner & Overnight stay at Kitulgala Guest House ( Non A/C Standard room)

Day 3: 26thNov Kutulgala - Belholoya ( 100 Km – Approximately 4 hours) ( B, L ,D)

After breakfast, transfer to Belihuloya.

BELIHULOYA is a climatically transitional area, which links the dry and wet zones at an altitude of less than 1500m. As a result, the vegetation consists of moist semi-evergreen forests, tropical savanna forests, dry patana grasslands and montane temperate forests. The vegetation in this environment has made this location an exciting one for the serious as well as the casual nature lover. The surrounding mountains, rivers, reservoirs make Belihuloya an adventure capital for adventure lovers

Check in to the camp site for lunch

Evening, we will explain you about the community project you will be involved in the  next 2 days.

Dinner & Overnight stay at a Camp site in Belihuloya

Day 4 and Day 5: 27th and 28th Nov Community Project ( B, L ,D)

After breakfast, Full day involvement for the project work.

Lunch will be arrange at the project location or a village house near by the project.

Back to the camp site.

Day 6: 29th Nov Belihuloya -Negombo( B, L, D)

In the early morning, do a nature walk ( Approx  3 hours )

After late  breakfast, transfer to Negombo.

Late lunch in a local restaurant on the way.

Check in to the hotel.

Rest of the day relax.

Day 7:30th Nov Departure ( B)

Early morning Proceed to the Bandaranayke International Airport in time for the departure flight. ( check out 12 noon)
