Arrival Kilimanjaro, Arusha,Tarangire National Park, Maasai Village, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National park, Arusha, Departure Kilimanjaro

Be prepared for scenic drives in the African Savannah following tracks of animals and to be amused by the beauty of the African animal kingdom.

In Tarangire National Park you will witness the unique landscape, the herds of zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, dozens of species of birds, and the picturesque sight of lions relaxing in the trees. Tarangire National Park measures 1,600 squares miles (4,144 square km) and is Tanzania’s fifth largest park. The park is named after the life-giving Tarangire River that provides the only permanent water for wildlife in the area. The river is a magnet for wildlife during the dry season when massive concentrations of elephant, buffalo, wildebeest and zebra congregate along its banks. Tarangire has a special character all its own, and is especially well known for a few outstanding highlights.Famous for its tree climbing pythons, massive baobabs and large herds of elephant, Tarangire National Park is small but still home to a significant wildlife population, with a density of wildlife matched only by Ngorongoro. Birding is particularly good here; the swamps, tinged green year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties; the most breeding species in one habitat.

From around August to October the migrating herds move through the area to cross the Mara River on

their way north to the Masai Mara and this is the time to visit the northern Serengeti: dramatic scenes

ensue as tens of thousands of animals plunge into the river in a desperate attempt to reach the other

side before the river’s enormous crocodiles home in on them. The acacia-dotted plains of Serengeti are home to one of the greatest spectacles of the natural world, the Great Migration. Thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains on their annual migration between the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Masai Mara in Kenya. Serengeti is also home to one of Africa’s largest populations of lions as well as many more of Africa’s most evocative wildlife, making it one of the most famous national parks in Africa. Serengeti is classically, timelessly…Africa.
