  • Iguassu – Half day Brazilian Falls / Macuco Safari Boat Trip / Rafting (B)

    After breakfast, you will depart to visit the Brazilian Side of the Iguassu Falls. Upon arrival atthe Visitors Center (located 12 km from the center of the Park), you will be transferred on specially conditioned vehicles to the catwalks for a walking tour (approximately 1 km long). There, you will have the opportunity to admire the falls from different viewpoints. At the end of the catwalk, you will find a fantastic close-up encounter with the Devil's Throat. Afterwards, you will take a boat trip near the falls and go on a rafting descent.

    Macuco Safari at Brazilian Falls (1h30min – 2h)

    This (group) tour takes place inside the Iguaçu National Park (Brazil), about seven kilometers from the Visitors Center. The first part begins with a jeep ride through the rainforest, followed by a short walk (around 600 meters) that leads to the highlight of the tour: reaching the bottom of the Iguaçu Falls through the use of specially prepared boats. There, you will be able not only to admire this spectacular sight, but succumb to its magnitude, watching the whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the falls, and feeling your adrenaline levels rise.

    Rafting – 1h30

    At the end of the Macuco Safari, you will get off the boat at the rafting station, where you will find lockers to leave your belongings. The guides will give you instructions about safety and the gear you are about to use before you board on the rafts and embark on a rafting adventure. Note that there are support safety boats to rescue anyone who might end up coming off the raft.

Day 03

  • Iguassu – Black Pool trail (B)

    After an early breakfast, you will depart to experience the Black Pool trail.
    Black Pool Trail (3h – 4h): it is a 9km-long trail that can be trekked or cycled or crossed with an electric vehicle. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to observe many native species in flora and fauna. At the end of the trail, there is a jungle house from where you can have a panoramic view. From this point, you will take a motorboat in the Iguassu River to complete the tour. (Optional paddling on ducks, subject to availability).

    Optional: visit to the Bird Park (additional cost applies).

Day 04

  • Iguassu / Rio De Janeiro / Paraty (B)

    After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to board on a flight to Rio de Janeiro. ( flight is not included and it is extra cost)

    Arrival in Rio de Janeiro and private transfer to Paraty (4-5 hrs approximately).

Day 05

  • Paraty – Walking Tour / Half Day Private Boat Tour (B, L)

    After breakfast, you will depart for a walking tour (1h30 to 2h00)to the historic old town of Paraty: a UNESCO nominated World Heritage site. Beautiful colonial architecture, pioneering street design, exiled Portuguese royalty and the dark past of the slave trade – these are just some of the elements that make up Paraty’s rich and colorful history from the past to the present day.

    Afterwards, you will head to the pier for an exciting Boat Tour. Paraty is surrounded by lush rain forest vegetation and its bay is an unforgettable place with crystalline waters, perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. On the way, you will stop on some of the islands where snorkeling, kayaking and SUP (stand-up paddle)will be provided. (Lunch and soft drinks included. Beer and alcoholic beverages are optional and locally paid).

Day 06

  • Paraty – Sea Kayaking Bay (4-5 hrs) (B, D)

    After breakfast, you will enjoy a sea-kayaking activity, paddling across ParatyBay’s warm and sheltered waters. This is a great way to see wildlife (as the animals will not be disturbed by the noise of the motor boats), andvisit places like the mangroves, islands and beaches nearby.The views of the old town and the coastal mountain range behind Paraty are spectacular. There are various routes you can follow, and no previous experience is required. We give paddling and safety instructions for sea kayaks.

    You will enjoy a free afternoon, to explore the town at your own pace.

    New Year buffet Dinner. Dinner ends 11:30 pm.

    Watch the New Year fireworks from Pontal Beach (10 min walk).

Day 08

  • Paraty / Rio De Janeiro -Sugar Loaf (B)

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Rio de Janeiro (4h-5h), accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
    Upon arrival, you will check-in at the hotel.
    In the afternoon, you will depart for the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

    Sugar Loaf (396m): Trademark of Rio de Janeiro, the Sugar Loaf Mountain has a privileged location in the city. In the first part of the cable-car ride, you will be able to see the entire Guanabara Bay, Corcovado and Rio-Niteroi Bridge. In the second part, you will enjoy the view on the beach of Copacabana, Santa Cruz Fortress and some beaches of Niteróifrom a unique perspective.

    Hiking toUrca Hill (Moderate level of difficulty): You will walk by the Cláudio Coutinho way and take the trail to reach the Urca Hill. The first part is steep, and it takes about 40 min to reach the top.

Day 09

  • Rio De Janeiro – Full Day Community Project / Santa Teresa / Lapa (B)

    After breakfast, you will depart for a cultural and community tour towards the Morrinho Project. It is a social and cultural project located outside the Pereira da Silva favela (slum) in the Southern Zone of Rio de Janeiro. It started by the local youth in 1997 and consists of a 450m² model of the city constructed from bricks and other recycled materials. It began as a simple childhood game to escape from the realities of violence and corruption that surrounded the teens and their community, and today it has grown from a local phenomenon to a popular international exhibit. It has been able to use that attention to evolve, not only as a work of art but also, into an organization with aspirations for social change.

    Afterwards, you will visit the iconic neighborhood of Santa Teresa, a charming district with cobblestoned hilly streets, old homes and interesting museums.

    In the afternoon, you will embark on a Downtown tour ending at the Olympic Boulevard, the highlight of Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The walking tour begins at Cinelândia Square and ends at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
    Then, with the car, you will cross the Porto Maravilha’s revitalized area, Praça Mauá, Orla Conde and Praça XV, currently known as the Olympic Boulevard: a three kilometers strip that was the cultural epicenter of the Rio 2016 Olympics. There you will find the “Ethnicities” mural by Eduardo Kobra, the Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow), the Mosteiro de São Bento (São Bento Monastery), the M.A.R. (Rio de Janeiro’s Art Museum), and much more. (Note: no time has been scheduled to visit the museums unless we eliminate some parts of the tour; in this case, the entrance fees are not included and should be paid separately).

Day 10

  • Rio De Janeiro-Pedra Bonita / Corcovado (B)

    After breakfast, you will depart towards Pedra Bonita, to hike to its top (3,5km – 1h30of an easy roundtrip).

    Pedra Bonita and Corcovado: From the top of Pedra Bonita and through a unique angle you will admire the famous and majestic Pedra da Gavea, the highest (844m) monolith in the world close to the sea. The trail goes through the Atlantic Rainforest inside the Tijuca National Park, one of the most extensive urban forests in the world. On your way up, you will discover the history of Rio and Tijuca Forest and everything about the coffee farms that used to exist there, the golden years of the region and the re-forestation that took place in the 19th century.

    Afterwards, you will head towards Rio’s most iconic attraction: The Statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain.
    Christ the Redeemer is an Art Déco style statue at the top of Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a Christian symbol and a cultural icon, also listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

  • Rio De Janeiro – leisure day and Farewell dinner (B, D)

    Today you will have a full, free day to explore Rio De Janeiro at your own pace.
    At 7 pm, you will enjoy a farewell dinner – your last dining experience in Brazil.
