Upon arrival at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport in Moroni, you are welcomed by the Rahhalah representative and transferred along the coast to your hotel on Grande Comore.

The afternoon is relaxed, allowing time to rest after your journey or enjoy the views of the Indian Ocean.

After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Mohéli, the most preserved island of the archipelago. Mohéli is the least populated and most natural island of the archipelago, now a UNESCO biosphere. Here you will discover lemurs, coral reefs, whales, manta rays, sea turtles, and deserted islands.

Upon arrival at the Mohéli airport, you will be met by Rahhalah representative for the scenic, 2-hour drive along the rugged coastline that leads to your eco-lodge, nestled between forest and sea.

At the lodge, you will be able to relax on the private beach, swim in the warm waters, and take advantage of numerous optional activities in the area.

Later in the day, you set out on a guided village walk, as you stroll through narrow paths, you’ll see traditional houses, meet friendly villagers, and learn about their customs and way of living. Children often wave with smiles, and you might be invited to taste local fruits or see how people fish and farm. It’s a warm, authentic experience that connects you with the culture of the island.

After breakfast, take a short drive from Laka Lodge and then enjoy a scenic hike through the tropical rainforest. Follow a small stream as your guide shows you the native, medicinal plants and fruits, as well as the coffee and spices which are grown along the forest edges.

Finally, get up to the roosting tree where you can observe Livingstone's Flying Fox (or Livingstone's Fruit Bat). This is one of the largest species in the world, with a wingspan of up to 1.4 meters. It is critically endangered and found only on Mohéli and Anjouan.

In the afternoon, you head out onto the water for a whale-watching excursion. Whale Watching in Mohéli is one of the best places to see humpback whales. On a boat trip, you can watch these giant whales jump, splash, and swim close by. Sometimes dolphins join too! It’s a simple, unforgettable experience with nature.

Early morning breakfast at Laka Lodge is followed by departure for the transfer to Mohéli Airport, a scenic drive of approximately two hours. You then take off on a domestic flight to Grande Comore, arriving at Moroni Airport, where you are met by your guide and driver.

From here, you set out on a journey of discovery through one of Grande Comore’s most intriguing regions, shaped by millions of years of volcanic activity. Dramatic landscapes unfold alongside local myths that speak of the ancient origins of these natural formations. The excursion includes visits to four remarkable sites: Dos du Dragon, Lac Salé, the Miraculous Mosque, and Trou du Prophète. A picnic lunch is enjoyed along the way before continuing to your hotel for check-in.

After a morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Moroni. Enjoy a walking tour of the old stone town. There’s an Arabian vibe you feel as you tour through the ancient alleys with picturesque Cafés and local shops. Finish the visit by walking through the local markets to experience a world of fresh spices, local fruit, and numerous fish.  

Later, you will have lunch in a downtown restaurant before your transfer to Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport for your international departure back home.
