Itinerary Details

Upon your arrival at the Athens airport, you will be welcomed by the trip leader and you will be transferred to your hotel downtown Athens.

In the evening, you will go for your first stroll around the old neighbourhoods and, there, following the trip leader’s guidance, you will go through a meditative ceremony that will mark the beginning of your trip and, to an extent, the beginning of the new year. Then, you will enjoy a traditional, Greek, welcome dinner.

Accommodation: Electra Palace Athens (5-star hotel) or similar.

After breakfast, you will begin your exploration of one of the oldest, still inhabited cities of the world, connecting each nook with a story, finding purpose, and defining identities on the way. You will see the Acropolis hill and the Parthenon from the nearby hills (excellent spots for photos), you will pass by Pnyka (where the heart of democratic Athens was beating), you will walk through the winding alleys of Plaka, and you will see the island-like Anafiotika.

In the evening, you will walk through the most hipster neighborhoods, starting from Agia Eirini, and moving up to Kolonaki, with its modern cafes and restaurants: traditionally, the upper-class neighborhood of Athens.

Accommodation: Electra Palace Athens (5-star hotel) or similar.

After breakfast, you will go on a themed, “treasure-hunt” game, either in teams or individually, looking for a well-hidden prize in the old town.

In the afternoon, you will gather in the team leader’s house to prepare home-cooked dinner and enjoy a Carnival-themed night with music, laughter, dancing, storytelling, and games.

Accommodation: Electra Palace Athens (5-star hotel) or similar.

After breakfast, you will spend Clean Monday celebrations in Nafplio: a picturesque town in Peloponnese, around 2-hours away from Athens. You will climb the 999 stairs to the castle on a dare, and you will enjoy the unique ambience of this Venetian-looking city. If you like, you may also try some of the traditional food usually shared among the Greeks on this special day.

Accommodation: Electra Palace Athens (5-star hotel) or similar.

Delphi is one of the oldest, most well-known and most prominent oracles of the ancient world. Although there are many antiquities in the archaeological site, the power of the place is derived by the energy of its landscape which can be experienced only when visiting. Once you get the spiritual “blessing” from the ancient priestess “Pythia”, you will enjoy the rest of the day in Arahova: a mountainous town, affectionately known as the “Mykonos” of the winter months in Greece.

Accommodation: Electra Palace Athens (5-star hotel) or similar.

After breakfast, and depending on your departure details, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
