Upon your arrival at the Keflavik Airport (KEF), you will be greeted by our Rahhalah representative who will transfer you to your accommodation in Reykjavík.
Note: There will be only one airport transfer for the group. Timing will be advised in due course. Additional airport transfers can be arranged at extra cost.
Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, or you may wish to go for an optional tour like Horseback riding or whale watching (additional cost applies).
In the evening, you will meet again with your guide at the hotel to go through the itinerary of the next days.

After breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel and head for a visit to the famous Golden Circle, where you will visit the following places:
South-Þingvellir by sunset
No single place epitomizes the history of Iceland and the Icelandic nation better than Þingvellir by the river Öxará. At Þingvellir - literally "Parliament Plains" - the Alþing general assembly was established around 930 and continued to convene there until 1798.
The Great Geysir is surrounded by many smaller hot springs. The attraction of the area is now Strokkur (The Churn), another geyser 100 meters south of the Great Geysir, which erupts at regular intervals (every 10 minutes or so) and whose column of boiling water can reach up to 30 meters high.
The “Golden Waterfall” is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland, located on the Hvítá - White river - which is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjökull. The water cascades down two steps, one 11 m, and the other 22 m high, into the rugged canyon.
Friðheimar - Greenhouse Visit and Tomato Soup
At Friðheimar, they strive to grow the tastiest tomatoes they can, while respecting nature. Their vegetables are cultivated all year round using the latest technology, in an environmentally friendly way, using green energy, pure water, and organic pest controls. Visitors gain an insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture, with a short and informative presentation on the subject. It is quite remarkable that it is possible to grow vegetables in this cold climate, re-creating warm Mediterranean conditions all year round, throughout the long dark winter.

The Secret Lagoon is a natural hot spring located in the small village of Flúðir, in the Golden Circle area. The Lagoon has been kept natural, and the steam rising into the air gives to the place a magical feeling. Thewater remains 38-40°C war all year round. A walking path has been built for guests so they can have a closer look at the boiling, spouting hot springs. (Included: Entrance + Towel rental)
Later, you will be transferred to your countryside hotel to relax.
In the night, you will embark on a Northern lights hunting tour or, if the weather allows, you may even have the chance to see the Northern lights outside your hotel.

ATV biking is an excellent way to explore the volcanic black sandy beaches on the south coast. The tour begins at the Arcanum base nearby the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in South Iceland, after a safety-instructions briefing. From the bottom, you will cross a few small rivers and head to the black lava sand fields which derive from the dormant volcano Katla. Down by the black beach, you will stop to enjoy the amazing view up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the coast of the southernmost part of Iceland leading to the small Dyrhólaeypeninsula. Afterwards, you will move towards the famous aircraft wreck, and from there you will continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. Upon your return, you will follow the mountain back to the base. On this tour, you can get in touch with the raw black lava sand landscape,and you will enjoy unforgettable scenery. This is an open-group tour, including other travelers as well.
Later, you will visit the beautiful Reynisfjara Black Beach and the rock formations of Reynisdrangar (basalt sea stacks situated under the mountain Reynisfjall, framed by Reynisfjara: a black sand beach that has been ranked as one of the ten most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world). Legend has it that the stacks originated when two trolls tried to drag a 3-masted ship to the land but, when daylight broke, they became needles of rock.

After breakfast, you will check-out from your hotel and go for a fun, glacier hiking experience.
This is an informative, safe, and easy walk on the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue. Your certified glacier guide will lead you through a frozen wonderland of different shades of glacier ice; white ice, blue ice, and crystal clear ice. You will get to see deep crevasses and water cauldrons safely, along with other exciting features of the glacier. During the hike, you will have plenty of photo opportunities and your expert guide will share his wisdom about the ever-changing landscapes of the Icelandic glaciers, their formation and interplay with the surrounding volcanoes and mountains. No technical skills are needed for this tour, and you will be provided with all the necessary glacier equipment. This is a great, family-friendly way to experience the Icelandic glaciers. It’s an open-group,guided tour and may include other travelers as well.

A few kilometers away from the south shores of Iceland, there lies the village of Skógar. The greatest attraction of Skógar is the beautiful 60-metre high Skogáfoss waterfall in the river Skógá. According to the legend, the settler Þrasi buried his chest of gold under the waterfall. If sun conditions are favorable - one can see a vivid rainbow in front of the cascading water. The path leading to the top of the waterfall continues following the river upstream, where numerous more dramatic waterfalls of sheer beauty are to be found.
A unique waterfall in the river Seljalandsá, about 30 km west from Skógar. It is 60 meters high with a footpath behind it at the bottom of the cliff, but with a thin cascade. It is the only known waterfall of its kind, where it is possible to walk behind it. The waterfall is very picturesque, and therefore its photo can be found in many books and calendars.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred to your hotel in Reykjavik.
In the evening, you will enjoy a New-year Gala dinner at the hotel and, at night, you can go downtown for the New-Year gathering and fireworks, or you can go for a New-Year fireworks cruise (Optional – additional cost applies)

Enjoy this day at your leisure by exploring the town on your own and relaxing at the Blue Lagoon.
Blue Lagoon – Retreat Spa
The Blue Lagoon is a natural geothermal spa surrounded by lava fields on Reykjanes peninsula. You will enjoy that amazing contrast of blue water and black lava, relaxing in the geothermal pools. The water is rich in silica and sulfur that helps make your skin glow. The temperature in the bathing and swimming area is very comfortable, averages 37–39°C. It's called one of the miracles of the world.
Retreat Spa is based on two persons sharing a changing room. Guests have access to the Retreat Spa for 5 hours.
