Detailed Itinerary

Day 01

12th April, 2019
  • Arrival at Delhi and transfer to Agra (L, D)

    Day Highlights:

    • A Mughal Heritage Walk through a village overlooking the Taj.
    • Introduction to Mehandi: the traditional Indian body-painting art.

     

    Note: On this arrival day there is only one group transfer leaving from Delhi to Agra by 10am. Hence all the travelers must arrive at Delhi airport no later than 10 am. If needed to arrive one day earlier one extra night in Delhi can be arranged at extra cost.

    Upon arrival at the Delhi airport (DEL), you will be welcomed by our Rahhalah representative and transferred to the Mughal city of Agra (a 4.5-hour drive).

    In the evening, you will head towards the Kachpura village to have a glimpse of the traditional village life and enjoy a Mughal heritage walk. There, the local women will share with you the art of Mehandi (an Indian form of body art based on which decorative designs are created on a person's body using a paste produced from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant). Once you explore the village, you will be invited to sit at a vantage point where you will be served masala chai and snacks, while gazing at the Taj Mahal at sunset.

Day 02

13th April, 2019
  • Transfer from Agra to Ranthambore - Trek to the Ranthambore Fort (B, L, D)

    Day Highlights:

    • A visit to the Taj Mahal.
    • A short trek to the Ranthambore fort which once was thought to be impregnable.

     

    You will depart for the Taj Mahal very early in the morning so that you marvel at its beauty under the morning hues while hopefully encountering fewer hordes of tourists. You will then return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out before embarking on an exploration of the Agra Fort. Soon afterwards, you will depart for Ranthambore (a 5-hour drive).

    Expect to reach the hotel in the afternoon and rest for a while before heading to the base of the Ranthambore fort from where you will trek for 30 minutes to the top of the hill. On the way, your guide will share more information about the history and the background of this national treasure.

Day 03

14th April, 2019
  • Tiger Safaris in Ranthambore (B, L, D)

    Day Highlights:

    • A morning and evening tiger safari in the Ranthambore National Park.
    • A painting session with painters of the Ranthambore School of Art.

    You will embark on your first safari in the Ranthambore sanctuary very early in the morning, as these are maybe the best hours in the day to see the tigers. Afterwards, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast and relax in the resort until lunch-time. In the afternoon, you will attend a painting session with an artist from the Ranthambore School of Art who will demonstrate how they paint their famous tiger paintings.
    In the evening, you will go for a second tiger safari, hoping to catch the elegant cats in action.

Day 04

15th April, 2019
  • Transfer from Ranthambore to Jaipur / Paramotor session (B, L, D)

    Day Highlights:

    • Paramotor flight at the outskirts of Jaipur.

    After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and depart for Jaipur (a 4-hour drive).
    You will reach the hotel by lunchtime, and in the afternoon, you will fly with a paramotor over the Rajasthan countryside. Prepare to be amazed by the contrast among the Palaces, the surrounding landscape and the Aravalis in the background as seen from above.

Day 05

16th April, 2019
  • Cycling in Jaipur / Transfer from Jaipur to Delhi (B, L, D)

    Day Highlights:

    • Cycling through Jaipur’s historical landmarks.
    • A visit to the Jama Masjid and the Red Fort.
    • Street food tasting in old Delhi

     

    Jaipur, known as the Pink City, is the picturesque capital of Rajasthan with a rich cultural heritage and intriguing past. Early in the morning (at 6:30 am) you will embark on a cycling tour around the city, starting from the Jal Mahal (Water Palace), stopping at the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), visiting the Gaitor Maharaja's cenotaphs, exploring the royal district of the City Palace, and learning more details about the daily life of the Maharajas. After such an exciting adventure, you will enjoy a Rajasthani breakfast in the Karnot Mahal, a 270-years-old heritage haveli.
    You will then depart from Jaipur heading towards Delhi, where you will arrive at around 3pm (a 5-6 hours’ drive).
    After checking in at the hotel, you will explore the lanes of old Delhi and try its traditional street food. At night, you will visit the beautiful Jama Masjid before calling it a night.

Day 06

17th April, 2019
  • Departure from Delhi (B)

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Delhi International Airport for your departure.
