Itinerary Details

Upon your arrival in Bali, you will be welcomed by a Rahhalah representative and transferred to the hotel in Ubud (around a 40-min drive into the island’s mainland). Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing or exploring Bali’s most beautiful town at your own pace, before meeting with the rest of the group for a delicious welcome dinner. Ubud is best known as Bali’s center for healing; after all, the town’s name originates from Ubad which means “medicine”. It is perched in a beautiful setting, surrounded by rainforest and terraced rice paddies, and dotted with Hindu temples and shrines. The town is also famous as a center for traditional crafts and dance. Make sure you visit its boutique shops or rest in its picturesque cafes where you can taste healthy juices and local delicacies made with yummy, fresh ingredients. Accommodation: Ubud Sthala Hotel Ubud / Deluxe room or similar.
After breakfast, you will head to Carangsari village for a cycling adventure into the heartland of Bali. The route will take you through the back roads of Carangsari, offering you a glimpse into the daily life and vibrant culture of the country. The tour, suitable for guests of all ages and physical condition, includes a visit to a typical Balinese household, a Bali elephant camp, a chocolate factory, and the memorial of I Gusti Ngurah Rai: a national hero (and namesake of Bali’s airport) born in Carangsari. Your adventure will end with a close encounter with the surprisingly well-mannered monkeys inhabiting the sacred nutmeg forest at Sangeh. After lunch, you will return to Ubud for a tour in one of the several arts museums in the town, which will help you better understand why Ubud is considered to be Bali’s cultural center. By now, you will have already noticed that the town’s streets are lined with art museums and galleries, featuring many local and international artists. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire traditional and contemporary art, get inspired, and connect with the creative energy that is so unique to this area. Accommodation: Ubud Sthala Hotel Ubud / Deluxe room or similar.
Today you will enjoy one of the most unique experiences in Bali: you will summit Mount Batur, an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung, to enjoy the rise of the sun from the top. You will leave the hotel very early in the morning (at 2am), to drive to the starting point of your hiking adventure (a 2-hour drive). From there, you will hike (for 1.5-2 hours) to the top of Mt Batur (1717 m altitude), just in time to enjoy the magnificent colors of the sunrise. You will then walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater of the last eruption. Descending from the crater, you will also observe the black lava from the volcano’s first and second eruption. After breakfast at the top, you will begin your descent which is as challenging as the ascend, but this time you get to see the surrounding panorama. On your way to Ubud, you will stop at Tegalalang rice terrace – a famous, scenic, terraced hillside offering rice paddies amid lush greenery – for a photo, and at a restaurant in Kintamani for lunch, enjoying views of Mt Batur. Accommodation: Ubud Sthala Hotel Ubud / Deluxe room or similar.
After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and head to Ayung River where your next adventure awaits. Ayung River offers a 2-hour white-water rafting thrill with easy Class I-II rapids, surrounded by landscapes of exotic beauty. After lunch, you will head to Kuta. Accommodation: Kuta-Tribe Hotel Kuta/ Comfort Balcony or similar.
The vibrant city of Kuta is best known for its party atmosphere, while the long, consistent waves of the Indian Ocean turn its beach into a popular surf spot, particularly for beginners, with plenty of outfitters offering board rentals and surf lessons. Enjoy the day at leisure, relaxing, shopping, bathing, or engaging in one of the available optional activities (extra cost applies). Accommodation: Kuta-Tribe Hotel Kuta/ Comfort Balcony or similar.
After breakfast, you will head to Tana Lot Temple – Bali’s most iconic temple built in 16th century to honor sea deities. From Tana Lot, you will drive further to the north of Bali to visit Ulun Danu temple. Sitting on the shore of lake Beratan, Ulun Danu temple was built to honor the lake and river goddesses. In the afternoon, you will visit the Candi Kuning Fruits and flowers Market and, then, you will head to the restaurant for your last dinner in Bali, just in time to enjoy the sunset hues. Accommodation: Kuta-Tribe Hotel Kuta/ Comfort Balcony or similar.
After breakfast, and depending on your departure details, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
