Itinerary Details

Note: Arrival in Amman must be before 09:00am or please arrive one night before tour date (overnight not included), we can arrange pickup from your hotel. Upon arrival at Amman airport or your hotel in Amman at 9:00 am our representative will greet you. You will then be transferred to Wadi rum (a drive of approximately 3-4 hours), Upon arrival in Wadi Rum, you will be guided to a remote campsite where you will lunch on traditional BBQ prepared by a local Bedouin family that still follows the Bedouin lifestyle and will be keen to share their culture and traditions with you. After lunch, you relax a bit and will ride the camels through the canyons of Wadi rum. Then you will reach the camp where you will rest for the night. In the evening, you will taste the traditional Zarb – a delicious Bedouin treat – and you will sleep under the stars. Dinner & Overnight at campsite. (Luxury Martian tents) Accommodation: Mazayen campsite or similar with all modern facilities- Bed, electricity, modern bathrooms, running water.
Once again, you will start the day early, driving to Um Al Dami through Jeep, the starting point of today’s adventure. At 7 am, you will begin your hike to the summit of Jordan’s highest peak: Um Al Dami, at an elevation of 1,854 m. The walk is of moderate difficulty; the path starts from the foot of the mountain, and it takes 2-3 hours to reach the top. At the summit, you will enjoy panoramic views of the vast rocky Jordanian mountains up to northern Saudi Arabia. You will even spot a border crossing far below. Note: This hike contains a few sections where you may need to use your hands for balance to ascend and/or descend. Hiking duration: approx. 4-5 hours, elevation gain of 1854 meters Light lunch will be offered at noon and you will be transferred by jeeps back to the camp. Dinner & Overnight at campsite. After an early breakfast, you will head with the cars to Petra (a drive of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes). After reaching Petra, you start exploring ancient trails of Petra – UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Totaling a distance of 12.4 km, you will be hiking through the historical site of Petra through the back route. This gives you the opportunity to discover Petra’s rich history and culture in a truly authentic way keeping us away from the crowds. The hike starts from an area called Little Petra and follows the ancient Nabatean path; you pass through narrow goat trails, stony paths and make your way to the Ad Deir or ‘Monastery’ admiring the beauty of the carved sandstones, and then proceed your way down approximately 900 steps and a short walk to reach the world-famous Treasury before continuing our way back up to the visitor centre. Lunch box provided. Physical Activity: 6-8 hours depending on route we take. After lunch, you will be transferred to your luxury camp to check-in and relax. Dinner & Overnight at luxury bubble tent. Accommodation: Bubble tents at Petra or similar. Located in the heart of Little Petra Triclinium in Wadi Musa, Petra Bubble camp features accommodation with access to a private hot tub. It is a luxury experience, a definite “must” on your bucket list!
After breakfast at hotel, you will checkout from hotel and will embark on a signature walk through this famous, UNESCO Heritage site. You will pass by the Treasury, and you will explore the architectural marvels created on the rocks, and the influences of various cultures like the Roman, the Egyptian, and, later on, the Islamic one. Snacks and water will be provided during this 2-3 hours hiking. You will end in a traditional restaurant in Wadi Musa where you will have a taste of authentic Jordanian cuisine. After lunch, will drive towards Downtown Amman. Depending on your flight time, you will have a few hours for shopping, resting, or exploring the city on your own. Later you will head to the airport for your international flight back to home. Note: Recommended departure flights to be after 8pm.

Optional 2 days extension – Jerash-Amman and Dead Sea

After finishing main trip, when everyone returns from Petra to Amman and goes to airport, who wish to extend tour further for Dead Sea & Jerash, going to stay overnight in hotel in Amman. Accommodation: Movenpick hotel Amman 5* or similar You enjoy this day of tour exploring Amman and Jerash. North the ruins of Jerash, one of the Middle East's best examples of a Greco-Roman provincial city. At the entrance of the site, admire Hadrian's Arch, built in 129 AD to mark Emperor Hadrian's visit, and the Hippodrome, a partially restored Roman-era stadium. Once inside, wander the colonnaded streets and discover its most important monuments: Temples, Theaters, Baths, Oval Plaza, along with several Byzantine churches dating from the Christian era, later come back to Amman and pay a visit to the Amman Citadel located 132 meters above the level of the City Center.

South of the castle we can still see the ruins of Hercules temple. Also, there is Umayyad palace. The adventure continues then with exploring the Roman Amphitheater. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the Second Century AD.

Then take a walk in Amman's downtown markets and City center before heading to the Archaeological Museum and Darat al Fnoun which aims to provide a platform for the visual arts from the Arab World. After finishing tour, you will drive towards Dead Sea. Check-in at hotel and dinner at hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Accommodation: Movenpick hotel Dead Sea 5* or Hilton 5* or similar depending on availability
After morning breakfast at hotel, you will enjoy your day at natural spa in the famous Dead-Sea mud! Don’t worry about swimming in winter ☺ Dead Sea water temperature is 10 degrees warmer than Amman. So enjoy swimming! With its dramatic landscape and the Dead Sea stretching at 400 m (1,312 ft) below sea level, the Jordan Rift Valley is one of the most spectacular places in the world and represents the lowest point on the face of the earth. The water of the Dead Sea is warm, soothing, and extremely salty – almost ten times saltier than the standard seawater – rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several others. The mud of the Dead Sea looks like soft, dark-gray clay, and is filled with more than 35 different minerals. Coat yourself in this mud and bask in the sun for about an hour, until the mud dries and turns into a crust. Your beauty treatment is now almost complete: rinse off your mud mask in the Dead Sea (take care not to let the water or the mud into your eyes, nose, or mouth) and find out how soft your skin can feel. Later you will check out from hotel and drive back to Amman airport for your international flight back to home. Note: Recommended departure flights to be after 6pm.
