Itinerary Details

Note: As the trip is short and compact, you should make sure that you arrive in Amman by 09:00 am at the latest. If you cannot find such an early flight, you should arrive one day ahead and you will be picked the next day from your hotel to meet the rest of the group (the extra night’s accommodation or airport transfer to your hotel are not included in the price).

Upon arrival at the airport of Amman, you will be welcomed by a Rahhalah representative and, once the full group assembles, you will head to Wadi Rum (approx. a 3-4-hour drive). Also known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum the largest wadi in Jordan, full of spectacular formations carved in sandstone and granite.

At Wadi Rum, you will be guided to a remote campsite where you will lunch on a traditional BBQ meal prepared by a local Bedouin family that still follows the Bedouin lifestyle. The members of the family will welcome you warmly and will be keen to share their culture and traditions with you.

After lunch, you will go on a 2-hour Jeep joyride to explore the scenic landscapes tucked deeply into the desert, such as the Siq of Lawrence and other gorgeous rock formations. You will end the day by enjoying the sunset at a picturesque location, riding on camels through the canyons of Wadi Rum.

In the evening, you will taste the traditional Zarb – a delicious Bedouin treat – and you will sleep under the stars, the Bedouin way.

Overnight at the camp.

After an early breakfast, you will pack your things and drive to Petra (approx. a 2.5-hour drive).

Upon arrival, you will embark on a signature walk through this famous, UNESCO Heritage site. Like Indiana Jones, you will pass by the Treasury, and, following the footsteps of the Nabateans, you will explore the architectural marvels created on the rocks and the influences of various cultures like the Roman, the Egyptian, and the Islamic one.
Snacks and water will be provided during this hike, while, by lunchtime, you will reach a traditional restaurant in Wadi Musa for a taste of authentic Jordanian cuisine.

After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel/camp in Wadi Musa to check-in and relax.

Overnight at a 4-star hotel or camp.

After early breakfast, you will check out and head to Wadi Mujib (approx. a 3-hour drive).

Well equipped with life-jackets, you will maneuver your way through the canyon to explore its spectacular sandstone formations. You will hike, swim, abseil, and slide through the gorge surrounded by a wild beauty that will take your breath away.

Zig-zag ropes along the way will offer you support where needed, as the trail takes you through some mild rapids and pools of calm water. An experienced guide will always be there to help you until you reach a beautiful waterfall where you can swim, relax, and enjoy the scenery before retracing your steps to the starting point.

At 1 pm, you will reach the Dead Sea, where you will have lunch before enjoying a natural spa in the famous Dead-Sea mud.

With its dramatic landscape and the Dead Sea stretching at 400 m (1,312 ft) below sea level, the Jordan Rift Valley is one of the most spectacular places in the world and represents the lowest point on the face of the earth. The water of the Dead Sea is warm, soothing, and extremely salty – almost ten times saltier than the standard seawater – rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several others.
The mud of the Dead Sea looks like soft, dark-gray clay, and is filled with more than 35 different minerals. Coat yourself in this mud and bask in the sun for about an hour, until the mud dries and turns into a crust. Your beauty treatment is now almost complete: rinse off your mud mask in the Dead Sea (take care not to let the water or the mud into your eyes, nose, or mouth) and find out how soft your skin can feel.

At 6 pm you will head to the Amman International airport for your departure flight back home.

Note: Departure flights must be after 9 pm.
