Winter in Montenegro is a magical experience, as the country offers many adventurous activities that are fun, recreational, and surprisingly affordable. The most popular winter resorts are in Kolasin and Zabljak, laid at the foot of the two main mountains: Bjelasica and Durmitor. After a pleasant day spent outdoors snowshoeing, skiing, sliding on the slopes, or snowmobiling, you can relax by the fire munching on local specialties.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 (6th February 2026): Arrival at Podgorica - Transfer to Bijelo Polje (D)

Note: There will be only 1 group transfer upon arrival, and the respective timing will be announced closer to the date.

Upon arrival at Podgorica airport, a Rahhalah representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Bijelo Polje (approx. 1.5-hour drive).

Relax for the rest of the day, before reassembling in the evening for a brief meeting with the guide over dinner.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Bijelo Polje

Day 2 (7th February 2026): Snowshoe hiking (B, Lunch box)

After breakfast, you will be transferred with jeeps to Bjelasica Mountain for an exciting snowshoeing tour.
During the winter months, when snow covers the entire land, snowshoeing is the ideal way of moving around – and you don’t need any special skills! This tour is suitable for beginners as well.

Prepare to emerge yourself in pristine, untouched landscapes without any houses or other people in the proximity, only snow and the footprints of wolves and foxes.

Picnic lunch (lunch box) on the mountain. You will then hike back to the jeeps, and you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 3 (8th February 2026): First Ski Lesson (B, L)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and you will head to the ski center for your first skiing lesson with a licensed instructor. Skiing and winter joys on the snow.

Around mid-day, you will pause to enjoy lunch in a special restaurant in Kolasin, tasting Kacamak: a national, old dish prepared by the highlanders to gain strength on a strenuous day on the mountain.

After lunch, you will return to the hotel where you can relax or enjoy the various facilities (indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna etc.).

Day 4 (9th February 2026): Second Ski Lesson - Snowmobile Tour (B, Lunch box)

After breakfast, you will head again towards the ski center for your second skiing lesson and more fun down the snow-covered slopes. A lunch box will be arranged for lunch. This day we will go on the longer skiing trail and enjoy the ski lift ride.

After lessons, you will head for a snowmobile adventure on mountain Bjelasica. Tour will last approx. 2 hours.
By evening, back to the hotel.

Day 5 (10th February 2026): Departure from Podgorica (B)

After breakfast, and depending on your flight details, you will be transferred to the Podgorica airport for your departure.
If time allows, you may wish to explore Podgorica for shopping or the Moraca Monastery (optional).

Note: There will be only 1 group transfer to the airport, and the specific timings will be announced closer to date.

Important: The itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, road challenges or operating conditions. At any moment, the guide has the RIGHT to change the program for the safety and convenience of the travelers.
Also, the trip's price does not cover expenses that may occur due to conditions beyond Rahhalah's control (force majeure). Such cases include but are not limited to extreme weather conditions, flight cancellations or delays, and natural phenomena (earthquakes, volcano eruptions, hurricanes, etc.). We, the Rahhalah team, both in our HQ and on the ground, will do our best to assist you with alternative arrangements (like new accommodation and/or transportation arrangements, revised itinerary and activities etc.), but ALL NEW COSTS incurred because of force majeure are to be covered by the traveler.

We strongly recommend that, before your departure, you purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellation costs, loss of baggage or personal items, medical emergencies, and other unexpected circumstances that cannot be controlled by Rahhalah or any traveler.
