Your journey begins as you land in Yerevan, Armenia’s beautiful “Pink City,” known for its rose-colored volcanic tufa stone and warm, welcoming spirit.

The first day is intentionally unhurried — a soft landing into the rhythm of the retreat. Time to breathe, settle into your body, and allow Armenia to welcome you gently.

We journey east of Yerevan into Armenia’s gorge country, where ancient temples, sacred rock, and centuries of devotion meet. Today’s practice is rooted in breath, silence, and reverence for place.
This is a day of listening — to the land, to the body, and to the quiet wisdom held in stone.

  • Visit to Garni Temple — Armenia’s only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded temple
  • Breathwork and intention-setting practice in the gorge below the temple
  • Visit to the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, partly carved into living rock
  • Guided silent walking meditation through the monastery complex
  • Traditional home-cooked lunch with a local family, including fresh lavash baked in a tonir oven

Armenian culture is deeply connected to its arts — from intricate cross-stones and miniature paintings to carpets, ceramics, and handmade objects passed through generations.
Today, we move through the city’s artisan heart, weaving creativity, culture, and connection into the retreat experience.

  • Each woman paints her own ceramic tile using traditional Armenian motifs — a personal talisman to carry home

  • Optional visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum — a solemn and important cultural visit for those who wish to attend

We leave the city behind and ascend toward Lake Sevan — one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes, resting around 1,900 meters above sea level. The air is clear, the light is expansive, and the stillness of the water invites you inward.

From the lake, we continue into Dilijan, Armenia’s forested sanctuary of mineral springs, mountain air, and quiet village life. This is a day of softening, slowing down, and allowing nature to hold the body.

  • Guided visit to Sevanavank Monastery, a 9th-century complex overlooking the lake
  • Free walk along the shoreline for journaling, reflection, or simply being

  • Traditional women-only Armenian banya experience with herbal steam and local mineral water therapy

After a restorative night in the forest, we make our way back to Yerevan — but not in a hurry. The drive from Dilijan winds through mountain passes and golden valleys, offering one final immersion in Armenia’s landscapes before returning to the city.

The afternoon is yours to explore, rest, shop, or enjoy one last spa moment before our closing evening together.
