Itinerary Details

Upon arrival at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, you will be welcomed by a Rahhahal representative, and you will get transferred to Alaçatı (1.5-hour driving distance) where you will board the saling boat.

Your home for the coming week will be a 2003 Italian-made sailing Azuree 35 with two cabins (double beds), one spacious living room (that can also accommodate a double bed), one shared bathroom with shower, and an additional sailing-style shower outside, to rinse off after swimming.

Once you get settled, you will attend the first sailing session (focusing on safety measures) that will prepare you for the days ahead and will allow you to participate more actively in the voyage while onboard. Your captain, a bohemian-style seaman, will share with you stories and secrets from the sea and will introduce you to the magical life of a nautical nomad.

Meals will be served on board, cooked by your captain. They will be vegetarian and will sometimes include fish too.

Accommodation: Cabin on board.

Your sailing adventure starts today! In the morning, after breakfast, you will continue your sailing sessions, this time putting into practice what you learnt the day before. In general, over the coming days, you will be learning about sailing practices, the parts and characteristics of a sailing boat, anchoring, parking in a marina, VHF communication, emergency rules, the various types of winds, use of compass, apps and maps to navigate, constellations, and nautical knots.

Also, on the way to your destination, you can try kite surfing (suitable for beginners as well), snorkeling, or even fishing – under the guidance of your captain.

Seferihisar is the first Slow City (Cittaslow) of Turkey, and is surrounded by historical treasures and green nature. Cittaslow is an international network of cities where living is good and easy, people communicate with each other, protect nature and traditions, and respect the planet through the use of sustainable energy.

Upon docking at the Marina of Seferihisar, you can spend some time on land, exploring the town at your own pace, enjoying its tranquility and cultural heritage.

Accommodation: Cabin on board.

Next stop: Kuşadası. After breakfast and while sailing towards the famous resort town, you will further practice your sailing skills, or have more fun with kite surfing, sunbathing, relaxing, reading, or posting photos of the crystal-clear waters on Instagram.

Depending on the wind and the overall weather, you may reach Kusadasi today and park at the marina. If not, you will anchor in one of the secluded bays and you will experience a night of absolute tranquility – perhaps one of the most memorable experiences of a sailing trip.

Accommodation: Cabin on board.

In the morning, after an early breakfast, you will head towards the world-famous UNESCO archaeological site of Ephesus. Ideally – and depending on the weather – you will hike on one of the ancient Roman paths that lead to the renowned city.

Trekking distance: up to 15 km each way, however the distance can be shorter depending on the weather and the preferences of the group.

For the rest of the day, you will enjoy exploring the coastal town of Kuşadası and its lively ambience.

Accommodation: Cabin on board.

By now, the return journey to Alaçatı must begin. The wind and the weather dictate the speed and the itinerary, so, on the way, you will stop at secluded bays, swim, snorkel, fish, and kite surf, continue with your sailing sessions, and relax on deck.

Accommodation: Cabin on board.

In the morning, you can enjoy your last kite surfing adventure at Myga Surf City if you wish, and then you will head to the airport for your return flights back home.

Note 1: you can take your PCR test in the airport of Istanbul (you should get your results within 1.5 hours). So make sure that you have enough time before your final flight to your next destination. As such, a late afternoon/evening flight is recommended.

Note 2: one group transfer to the airport is included in the price. Additional transfers can be arranged at an extra cost.
